  • typhoon 23: thats not really why i stayed home yesterday but it probably wouldve been the reason if i hadnt already called in a day off for a huge eye swelling.  the bug bite the i had the other day that was under my eye and only slightly noticeable moved to above my eye in the lid area and now it seriously looks like i got socked.  its droopy and making my close that eye almost.  it s quite attractive really.  so thats kind of scary.  and really timely, thanks for the spider comment JAM.  so i called mom of course and she wanted me to get it looked at which i did not do for fear of the horrible weather.  mashi and i just cuddled.  but today it was the same condition so i called in again and asked about any mildly english-knowing clinics nearby.  i can manage eye, hurt, itch, spider, mosquito, the other day, yesterday same.  but to my surprise one of my JTEs came out and took me to an EYE clinic, specifically.  so i got some drops and its still the same, but im just trying to hide it by consciously widening my left eye and sweeping my hair loosely to that side.  wearing my glasses also helps offset the assymetry i think.  i feel like the damn hunchback of notre dame.  anyway.  after i woke up and called in an off day, i slept til 230pm.  that was grand. 


    today i had some of my more cheeky first year classes.  i came in just for the afternoon after the clinic. one kid who was incessantly talking loudly and occassionally mimicking me.  but when i had every repeat drill-style he clammed up and became all floor-enthralled.  HA.  you are the people i hated in high school.  not funny and not even able to hold your own when the teacher is near.  that was quite annoying. to be more honest, the slackers who like to chat up the teacher and clown around are much more fun.  and they dont disrupt class, they only make it more lively sometimes.  try to remember the dumb slacker who was also the teacher's pet.  loveable wasnt he? 


    so im back on the canadian tape train and im quite addicted.  alias and CSI.  moremoremore.  and my aunt sent me a new CSI and a CSI: NY!!  and 2 queer eyes!!  cant wait to watch that.  stuff that global priority flat rate envelope until it bursts, i beg you.  you can afford 9 bux ppl!  i dont care how much you have to tape it, send something!!
