dont get me wrong, i love to buy stuff too. ay, theres the rub. but i mostly like to buy organizing items. me in the Container Store or Hold Everything is a scary sight. and Target, i love Target. but ive tried to hold myself back here in japan because i know i cant take most of the stuff i buy with me when i leave. but im considering it apartment improvement. and since i recontracted, i did buy another small bookshelf. i just didn t have enough horizontal space. altho as a tip from Real Simple magazine, to simplify and organize, try to clear all horizontal spaces. that doesnt mean shelves tho. but tables and counters and tops of things that are piled with crap like my kotatsu.
PETER PAN: this movie was pretty good. and the extras werent bad and there were lots. im in love with both peter and wendy. and im now a fan of the actor who plays hook AND the father (Jason Isaacs). he is also in harry potter, but im only appreciating him now. the flying was very cool and the sword play looked great. Tinkerbell was not very sweet in this version, but she looked very magical. when i saw the trailer, i thought that it looked a little scary for small children and it did have its dark moments. the kid who is peter pan is so cute, like in a youthful way, but i also in a id-'love-to-call-dibs-on-him-when-he-gets-older way. does that not work? strangely, in the features, he seemed to have a slight lisp or something. aww. and wendy (rachel hurd-wood, rough name) is so pouty and pretty. shes also going to be painfully good-looking. and even the mother of the kids, SHE was lovely too. and there were some weird features with duchess fergie hosting them. weird. but the crazy wires and compositing was cool. i mean, how many movies have flying and sword fighting?
HANAMI/ flower-watching: so the sakura/cherry blossoms are out in force now here. they are only out for about 2 weeks and it is a japanese spring tradition to enjoy them by having a picnic. there is also alcohol and karaoke involved too sometimes. the synopsis i read said that in the meiji era (long time ago) they offered food and sake to a god that lived in the sakura tree, but everyone knows that the god doesnt really eat and drink the offering (do they also know that there is no god?) so after you offer the food, then you just sit there and eat it yourself. wow. that works out great!! the work-aholism of the japanese and the short duration of the blossoms make for crowded parks. watch out kyoto. they also have lights at night in many places so that you dont have to stop just because the sun goes down. of course, japan doesnt have daylight savings so we dont spring ahead an hour. but i guess the "saving" would be when we fall behind in the fall. so what is the real time anyway??
O, Ummmm: dont you hate it when you post a comment and then you happen to read further and learn that your question's answer is right there in an other post? shouldnt there be some way to take back a comment that hasnt been viewed? does AOL mail have that feature for their email? i know a bunch of ppl who could ve used the in college. and now there is a new cell phone feature where you can block yourself from using your own phone to call certain ppl if you happen to be the drunk dialing type. you know who you are. great, lets pay to have companies stop us from using other stuff that we also paid for. is this progress?

I always think of Jason Isaacs in The Patriot, he makes such a good bad guy!!
And I agree about the girl who played Wendy being gorgeous. Those TEETH were really something!
Just remembered where I saw that movie! On the plane ride to Japan in July! bizarre since I just got OFF the plane from Chicago to Osaka. good times.
i wonder if AOL has that feature for their e-mail
the calling-dibs-when-he's-older thing - DEFINITELY ok. I called dibs on the boy who played Oliver Wood in Harry Potter long ago. mmmm...
