  • lets see... we went to bingo at a bar on two of the four of us won!  we got 99 cent prizes.  sweet.

i had an interview with the COO of mergers and acquisitions.  he was soo cool.  no wonder he has that job.  wow.  so cool.

we tried to see the tree lighting ceremony and failed miserably.  even being sneaky and trying to go thru saks didnt work.  they were wise to that.  the crowds were crazy.

i received a few of my replacement cards after losing my wallet.  my life is coming back together.  tho still no valid id.  i should get on that.  cough up the 4 point documents, mom.

we went to a couple of bars on saturday.  nice crowds.  good old music.  my head hit the pillow at 5.  pure stupidity.

getting to china town to get soup dumplings on sunday was a big effort, but also a big accomplishment.  i bought a coat at uniqlo.  the soho store is sooo cool.  just think, i could be working there.  better?  worse?  meh.

xanga is evolving faster than i can familiarize myself.  its like facebook all over again.

  • thanksgiving was sweet.  i ate lots of turkey.  my parents' house is a shambles as they are finally getting their roof fixed and taking the opportunity to extend the kitchen and such.  i stayed with my aunt.  her house is nice and cute with two kitties.

i cant find my passport.  ive suspected it to be in my room somewhere for the last week or so.  now i ve lost my wallet.  god this sucks.

  • hey, http://www.intrepidtravel.com/ won a responsible travel award!  thats cool.  i used this tour company to go to thailand and also indonesia.  i really like their style.  i also like how the tour is separate from the flight.  you find your own fare and then you can arrive early or stay late.  i had two really positive experiences and cant wait to use them again.

    *end commercial*

unites states of arugula was the sassiest historical novel ive ever read.  and yes, i am counting guns, germs, and steel.

  • im sick.  i had an interview today.  i went to a filipino-american poetry reading.  i ate korean fried chicken.  i painted scott's apartment a little.  ...

    not in that order.

actually i volunteered for a japanese culture day event for NY big brother/big sister.  i taught janken and chopsticks.  yay.  a karate dojo did a demonstration.  made me natsukashii for the hardcoreness of it all.

  • now that i have roomies to pour my heart and brain out to every day, i dont really feel the need to blog that much anymore.  i m thinking about starting a new chapter tho since i have this lifetime thing.  the new york chapter.  we get up to some cool things here.

for instance: today i thought mashi was standing near my leg and her whiskers were tickling my ankle.  it was a roach (or waterbug or whatever) crawling up leg.   dont you want to come here?

  • i went to a JET alum event. it was kind of uncomf at times as expected, but i randomly talked to four ppl and out of those four, one was also a Dart alum. a '97! how funny. the career forum was not really helpful. not the last part that i went to anyway. one of the panelists was from an office that i interviewed at. guess i didnt get that job. boo. the cocktail/buffet part that came after was ok but at one point they brought out a big cake and dimmed the lights. the JET Programme turns 20! people standing in the front of the audience, please step forward to blow out the candles. then it turned into a weird disco for a while. i went to the second party briefly. back to the grind. i need a job.

  • spent the weekend at dianne's 'rents' place in NJ. we shopped up a storm. we are a deadly shopping combination. no really. it's scary. i need some income bad! dianne's mom cooked lots of food for us. at dinner with her mom and dad, the dog was walking around and begging. then she let out a little doggie fart. actually it was a big fart. long actually with a little squeak at the end. phtt phhhhhht phht pht ffft squeee. how embarassing. we sat frozen for a moment then i said "Molly fart" in korean. then we were released. i only know about 10 words. good thing i know the important ones. sheesh.

more interviews and blah blah. but one of the companies i want isn't hiring til January, how sad. but there is a chance i could actually work a day this week. imagine that.

today Utah was crawling all over me and woke me up. finally when she is hungry enough and unable to bother other roommates, she overlooks her differences with Mashi and even sits on the same bed as heri. she gets blinded by hunger and walks right past mashi without even seeing her. silly utah. meow.

im still a little too well acquainted with the DVR. i know its a destructive relationship, but somehow i cant let go.

    la la la

  • im still job hunting. its not like i hit the pavement 24/7. more like i make a call or go on the internet once in a while. but im getting bored and despairing.

    utah still hates mashi.

    i still love target.

we went to another author' reading. dianne is making me cultured. tehe.

  • uniqlo s first US store was in a mall in new jersey! and i wasnt even there. then after a successful test of cashmere for the masses, they opened a NY store and now they are almost ready to open a huge one the they ve been building since they opened the temporary one. wow.

mashi smells like fresh laundry. so fresh so clean. but weird.

its unfortunate that someone obtained LOST for me. the couch has my impression on it.

  • sorry xanga. i still love you. i ve been sluggish and depressive. i have some interviews tho. and ppl in uniqlo are telling me to work there too. i ve got leads.
